Kids, name your village's clown
The Algonquin Lions Club and Rosen Hyundai are sponsoring a Name the Village Clown contest, for children kindergarten through third grade. Entries are due by Feb. 29. Winner of the contest will receive a $1,000 savings bond courtesy of Rosen Hyundai of Algonquin. Entries can be dropped off at Rosen Hyundai, 771 S. Randall Road, Algonquin, or mailed to the Algonquin Lions Club, P.O. Box 7493, Algonquin, IL 60102. Entries must be postmarked by Friday. Take part in a metaphysical talk
The School of Intuitive Arts and Sciences, 314 Northwest Hwy., in Fox River Grove is sponsoring a metaphysical discussion offering metaphysics to warm the soul and tickle the mind. The event is from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
This monthly offering is facilitated by the Rev. Anne S. Muelleman, spiritual leader of the McHenry County Church of Religious Science.

'McCare Night' will benefit ACRC
McDonald's in Algonquin will host a fundraiser benefiting the Adult & Child Rehab Center from 5 to 8 p.m. March 3. McDonald's is at 125 S. Randall Road, on the corner of Algonquin and Randall roads.

The Adult & Child Rehab Center provides physical, occupational, speech and lymphedema therapies, as well as nursing care. The Rehab Center accepts most types of insurance.
