Computer-Assisted Genealogy Group of Northern Illinois: "Searching the Web Effectively with Google," will be the topic of discussion by Ted Bartlett when the Computer-Assisted Genealogy Group of Northern Illinois meets 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Schaumburg Township District Library, 130 S. Arlington Heights Garden Club: Dennis Paige, a naturalist and restorationist from the Spring Valley nature Center, Schaumburg, will be the guest speaker when the Arlington Heights Garden Club meets 7 p.m. Monday in the Arlington Heights Library, 500 N. Zonta Club of Northwest Cook County: The Zonta Club of Northwest Cook County is seeking female high school senior applicants for its 10th annual local Young Women in Public Affairs Award. Applicants must be female high school seniors under the age of 19 who live in communities from Niles on the east to Elgin/West Dundee on the west.
