Take a trip to China with council

The Barrington Area Council on Aging and Collette Vacations will present a program highlighting their upcoming trip to Beijing at 12:30 p.m. today at the Barrington Park District, 235 Lions Drive in Barrington.

Dessert will be served. The nine-day trip to the China will take place Oct. 21-29. It will include tours of the Summer Palace and the Beijing Zoo, a trip to the Great Wall and a performance from the Peking Opera.

Harper holds Tech Night Wednesday

Harper College will hold its Tech Night at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Harper Professional Center, 650 E. Higgins Road, Suite 9 South, Schaumburg. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Seminars include: project management, game development, computer graphic arts overview, CompTIA convergence, radio frequency identification, and selling yourself as a technical professional.
