Dundee Township Park District notes

The Dundee Township Park District is looking for 13- to 16-year-old girls to join its teams in the Northwest Softball Association League.

All home games are played at Huffman Park, Tartans Drive and Huntley Road in West Dundee.

Other teams in the league include: Algonquin, Lake in the Hills, Fox River Grove and Huntley.

Registration forms are available at the Dundee Township Recreation and Fitness Center, 665 Barrington Ave., Carpentersville. Registration deadline is Friday. For details, call Hank at (847) 428-7131.

Junior golf: Has your child been inspired by the "domination of a sport" like Tiger Woods? Maybe they just get excited when they hear there's a game they can play outdoors with mom, dad, grandma or grandpa. If so, you will want to hear more about summer Junior Golf Activities and Programs offered by the Dundee Township Park District.

Parents and young golfers are invited to join a night of fun and education at the Junior Golf Open House from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Randall Oaks Golf Clubhouse, 4101 Binnie Road, West Dundee.

The Randall Oaks golf staff will be on hand to answer questions and to assist in program selection. Manufacturers' representatives from leading golf equipment companies also will be present to help fit young golfers with equipment for the upcoming season.
