See 'Briar Rose' at middle school

The Cary Park District's Children's Theatre Company of Cary will host two performances of "Briar Rose" at 7 p.m. Friday and 3 p.m. Saturday. Both performances will be held at Fox River Grove Middle School, 401 Orchard St., Fox River Grove.

This clever and charming adaptation of the classic fairy tale of Sleeping Beauty is filled with memorable dialogue, comical characters, lively action and a surprise twist. Eleven young actors in sixth through 12th grades have been rehearsing, building sets and assembling props and costumes since October.

The performance being is directed by Becky Chappell and Bob Jenski.

Tickets can be purchased at the Cary Park District Community Center front desk for $3 per person or at the door for $4 per person. Children, two years and younger are free.
