County CASA training to begin
Court Appointed Special Advocates of McHenry County will begin training adult volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children in the county.
Training begins Tuesday.
CASA volunteers help provide a constant support for the child and gather information to present to the court in the best interests of the child.
CASA has 43 active volunteers. During training, volunteers learn the skills and knowledge that will enable them to become the voice of the child in the courtroom and become the fact-finder for the judge.
For details, call (815) 206-4585 or visit Web site www.casamchenrycounty.org to complete an application before the winter training class begins.
