MCC offers research class for educators

An "Information Literacy for Educators" class will be offered at McHenry County College beginning Jan. 12.

Classes will meet from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays, Jan. 12, 26, Feb. 2, 16, March 1 and 15. Three graduate credits are available.

The course is designed for educators to locate, evaluate and use information. Participants will learn techniques to improve their own and their students' research skills and will learn methods of infusing information literacy into their curricula. Information issues and their effects on society and education also will be covered.

The registration fee is $219. Register by calling (815) 455-8588 and use course ID NPE C50-001. A technology fee of $27 and a registration fee to Aurora University of $225 for the three graduate credits is payable by check on the first day of class.
