Enrollment rises more than 20 percent at DeVry

OAKBROOK TERRACE -- DeVry Inc., a provider of educational services, Tuesday reported its fall is up at DeVry University, including its Keller Graduate School of Management and Chamberlain College of Nursing.

At DeVry University, new student enrollment increased 19.4 percent to 18,878 students. The total student enrollment increased 22.7 percent to a record 64,003 students.

Keller Graduate School of Management total coursetakers increased 16.5 percent to 20,734 in the November session. Online undergraduate and graduate coursetakers increased 22.5 percent.

And Chamberlain College of Nursing in Addison reports that new student enrollment increased 55.3 percent to 2,100 students. The total enrollment increased 67.2 percent to 5,617 students.

"We are quite pleased with the enrollment growth and retention for all of our schools, which experienced strong demand across all programs, from technology to business to health care, and delivery modalities, from campuses to online," said Daniel Hamburger, president and chief executive officer of DeVry Inc.

Hamburger added, "We are not only proud of our results, but also of the fact that we are providing access to education to many students, who achieve quality outcomes, and who otherwise would not have had the opportunity to advance their education."
