Saxon band revs up for indoor concert

The 285-member Saxon Marching Band, drum line, and Starlite Flags will perform an indoor concert at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26 in Schaumburg High School's main gymnasium, 1100 W. Schaumburg Road. The band will showcase music from throughout the fall marching season, as well as featuring its special, "Bond, James Bond" Show. "It is always a high-energy evening to hear the power of a marching band indoors," says Kevin Miller, Schaumburg High School music department chair and marching band director. "Our kids have worked hard all season; this is a fun way to close." The public is invited, and asked to bring a nonperishable food item that will serve as their admission ticket. Food will benefit the Schaumburg Food Pantry.
