Hersey administrator honored

John Novak, Hersey High School's assistant principal of student activities, has been named the 2009 Activity Director of the Year by the Illinois Directors of Student Activities.

Annually, the ISDA honors skillful and dedicated individuals who play an active role in promoting the culture and climate of the school community.

In congratulating Novak, Hersey Principal Tina Cantrell said she cannot imagine Hersey "without John Novak's stamp. He sets the tone for students and staff in a celebratory manner which continues the great Hersey traditions."

Novak was honored Nov. 15 at the ISDA convention awards banquet in St. Charles.
