Youths charged in pizza guy robbery

Five teen boys have now been formally charged with attacking and robbing a pizza deliveryman in Schaumburg.

Monday's alleged theft of three pizzas and an order of chicken wings has resulted in juvenile battery and robbery charges against a 16-year-old from Schaumburg, a 16-year-old from Rolling Meadows, a 15-year-old from Arlington Heights and a 15-year-old from Bolingbrook. Another Schaumburg 16-year-old was charged just with robbery, police said.

The 20-year-old deliveryman from an unnamed Hoffman Estates restaurant was punched and struck with a stick Monday afternoon in the 1700 block of Poplar Place. No cash was taken and police said there was no indication he was seriously injured.
