Democrats, media causes national woes
Letter writer Edward Tobolik wants the Republicans to take responsibility for the harm the Bush administration as done to the country and stop blaming the media for their troubles. As a Republican, I must answer that Republicans do not have to take responsibility for the problems which Democrats have caused and for which the Democrat mouthpiece press provides cover.
The bailout of the financial industry presents a typical example of Democrat smoke, mirrors and mumbo jumbo. The Democrats forced the industry to make bad loans to persons who could not afford them. Now, they are blaming the Bush administration for inadequate regulation, all the while knowing full well that President George Bush has tried 17 times to make the Democrat Congress do something about the looming disaster.
When they are not blaming Republicans, Democrats are blaming the "free market" that's us. We're too free! If we are to believe the likes of Tobolik, we need the federal government to be run like the city of Chicago: a one-party state which controls the major organs of communication.
