Lundstedt, Arthur join Dist. 128 vets

Two veterans and two political newcomers won election to the Libertyville-Vernon Hills Area High School District 128 board on Tuesday.

Incumbents Patrick Groody and Ellen Mauer won re-election. Challengers Karin C. Lundstedt and Stephen B. Arthur also won seats.

Challenger Ann E. Oakley, who successfully retained her seat on the Cook Memorial Public Library board, lost her school-board bid.

With ballots in all 44 precincts counted, unofficial totals had Lundstedt with 4,398 votes, Mauer with 4,375, Groody with 4,133, Arthur with 3,882 and Oakley with 3,223 votes.
