St. Viator boys and girls wins titles at Lions Co-Ed Invitational

The St. Viator boys and girls teams won titles in the six-team Lions Co-Ed Invitational track meet at Harper College.

Kelly Hendricks led the girls with wins in the 100 (12.8) and 200 meter (26.02) dashes. The Lions also got victories from Krista Ruddick in the triple jump (31-41/2), Lara Sladek in the shot put (28-103/4) and Mandy Kompanowski in the 300 intermediate hurdles (53.12).

In the boys meet, hurdler Justin Johnson won the 110 highs (15.72) and 300 intermediates (43.83) for Viator. Patrick O'Malley won the 100 (11.31) and Nick Fratto won the 800 (2:06.91).

Badminton

Ashley Thomas and Jillian Cabrera took the first doubles title as Hersey (28 points) finished third behind Downers Grove South (30) and Glenbard East (29) in the Glenbard East Invitational.
