Cantigny Park plans special veterans' memorial event

Candles in the wind
Take part in honoring more than 650,000 American veterans who have given their lives in combat since the Revolutionary War, during a Veterans Day Luminary Tribute at Cantigny Park and First Division Museum. More than 2,200 candles will be lit in Cantigny's Parade Field. Each candle represents six 1st Infantry soldiers killed in action from World War I to the present, along with all American veterans who have given their lives. Guests are invited to walk through the rows of candles or to view the display from a designated driving route. The event will take place rain or shine.
Luminary Tribute begins at sunset and runs until 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 11, at Cantigny Park and First Division Museum, 1S151 Winfield Road, Wheaton. Admission and parking are free. (630) 260-8227 or FirstDivisionMuseum.org.

Happy Harvest
