Crash snarls I-90

Traffic along Interstate 90 between Elgin and Arlington Heights was snarled today after a woman possibly suffering a diabetic reaction crashed and rolled her Jeep over, authorities said.

Illinois State Police Sgt. Paul Carlos said the woman's vehicle crossed a ditchline on the westbound lanes and rolled over at about 12:30 p.m. near the Route 59 interchange.

Carlos did not know the woman's identity, but said it is possible diabetic shock may have played a part in the crash. She was taken to St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates with nonlife threatening injuries, Carlos said.

Carlos said no lanes were closed as a result of the crash.
