Algonquin

• A 14-year-old student at Jacobs High School was charged Friday with unlawful storage of a weapon on school property, according to a police report. She was released to the custody of her father and referred to juvenile court in McHenry County.

• Emanuel Rosalio-Celis, 30, of the 100 block of Hilltop Drive, Lake in the Hills, was charged Sunday with driving while license revoked, speeding and driving under the influence of alcohol at Algonquin Road and Countryside Drive, police said. Police said he also was wanted on warrants from Palatine police and the Kane County Sheriff's Department for traffic offenses. Rosalio-Celis posted bond and has an April 21 court date in Palatine, April 24 in St. Charles and April 29 in McHenry County.

Carpentersville

• Police said a landscaper left a large pile of mulch in the road Tuesday in the area of Grandview Drive and Sleepy Hollow Road. A 77-year-old driving a Buick Regal ran into the pile at 8:12 p.m. and suffered a chin injury. Police did not cite the driver. They are still looking for the landscaper.

Elgin

• Three 18-year-olds who were charged Tuesday with arson stemming from a fire Monday that caused about $70,000 damage to a home on the 500 block of Ashland Avenue, were being held Wednesday on $500,000 bond in the Kane County jail, according to police. Anthony M. Huff, of the 0-100 block of Elm Street, Carpentersville; Jessica A. Fliginger, of the 200 block of North Green Street, Carpentersville; and Salvatore A. Riso, of the 500 block of Wendt Avenue, East Dundee, were all charged with aggravated arson, a Class X felony, and felony counts of residential arson and aggravated criminal damage to property. The three will have preliminary hearings April 3 at the Kane County Judicial Center.

• A 40-year-old woman from Lyndhurst, Ohio, told police she left her purse at a local movie theater on Tuesday. When a search of the theater was conducted, the purse was not located. It contained a cell phone, an iPod, car keys, $45 in cash and $595 worth of gift cards.
