Faith in Action to hold pasta fundraiser

Local not-for-profit organization Faith in Action of McHenry County has announced the raffle grand prize at its annual pasta dinner fundraiser will be a one-night stay in a lakeside condo at 400 Randolph Drive in downtown Chicago. The grand prize package also includes dinner for two and a hand-made Winter Blossoms quilt.

Raffle tickets are $1, or six for $5. They are available now and will continue to be available until the drawing is held at Jan. 26 at St. Thomas Church Community Center, Crystal Lake. Attendance at the pasta dinner is not required to win.

All proceeds from the raffle will benefit McHenry County senior citizens through Faith in Action, a local not-for-profit organization that provides volunteer services to help support independent living for residents of McHenry County older than 62 who live in their homes or with loved ones.

Services are provided at no charge and include transportation, shopping, friendly visits, respite for caretakers, light housekeeping and light yard cleanup.

The organization relies on grants, public donations and fundraisers to continue operating.
