Public hearing on lead service line replacement plan rescheduled in Wauconda

The village of Wauconda is holding a rescheduled public hearing from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. March 18 to discuss intentions to replace existing lead water service lines within the village to meet Illinois Environmental Protection Agency compliance guidelines.

The hearing will be held at Wauconda village hall, 101 N. Main St.

There will be a 10-day comment period after the hearing, which is one of the requirements for the village to qualify for a low interest IEPA public water supply loan.
