Voices of Hope Community Chorus expands giving program; awards Wellness House

The Voices of Hope Community Chorus is expanding its community contributions program for 2026, naming Wellness House in Hinsdale, Ill., as its spring award recipient.

This year, the chorus will recognize two organizations annually — one during the spring concert season and one in the fall — doubling its previous commitment of supporting one organization per year.

The expanded program reflects the chorus’s strong financial position and the continued generosity of its audiences, sponsors and donors. The chorus directs a portion of concert ticket sales each season to an organization aligned with the group’s mission.

“The members of Voices of Hope are united in the mission of the chorus,” said Kathleen Lojas, Voices of Hope Community Chorus president. “We wish to reach as many breast cancer survivors as we can. Donating a portion of our ticket sales is one way we accomplish this goal.”

Wellness House provides free support programs for individuals and families who are affected by cancer, including counseling, exercise and stress-reduction services. The organization serves thousands of people across the western suburbs and greater Chicago each year.

In April 2026, Voices of Hope Community Chorus will present its spring concert, “Respect: Celebrating Women in Song,” a celebration of women songwriters whose music has shaped American culture.

From timeless Broadway melodies to the distinctive voices of artists such as Dolly Parton and Joni Mitchell and today’s contemporary chart-toppers, the program will highlight songs of strength, reflection and hope. The performances will underscore music’s power to connect generations while supporting the chorus’ mission to serve those who have been affected by breast cancer.

Upcoming concerts will be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 11, at Glenview Community Church, 1000 Elm St. in Glenview; and 4 p.m. Sunday, April 12, at Pilgrim Congregational Church, 460 Lake St. in Oak Park.

Tickets are $25, $20 for survivors, seniors, and students, age 17 or under. At the door two hours before the concert, tickets are $30 or $25 for survivors. Tickets are available for purchase online at voicesofhopecc.org.

At its fall 2025 concert, Voices of Hope Community Chorus recognized the Cancer Wellness Center in Northbrook, Ill., as part of its ongoing commitment to highlighting organizations aligned with its mission.

Through its expanded contributions program, the chorus aims to strengthen partnerships within the breast cancer support community while increasing awareness of the critical services these organizations provide.
