More than four years after a first attempt to sell the Streets of Woodfield shopping center, New York-based private equity firm Blackstone has found an eager buyer in Hutensky Capital Partners of Hartford, Connecticut. Blackstone is getting only $69 million for the 692,000-square-foot property it paid $168.5 million for in 2015.

Lurie Children’s plans to build hospital in suburbs

Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago plans to build a hospital in Downers Grove, it announced Wednesday morning. The hospital would have about 50 inpatient beds and an emergency department, plus outpatient treatment areas. A site has not yet been disclosed.

Barrington Golden Triangle developer shifts gears toward multifamily building

Barrington officials said this week the developer of the Golden Triangle property will concentrate on construction of the mixed-use building, while the car condos will take a back seat. “The original focus was to build the car condos first and then the multiuse building, and now they're shifting focus to the multiuse building,” Jennifer Tennant, village director of development services said.

Elk Grove Village extends deadline to build data centers at WGN transmitter site
