· The Newberry Consort and the Haymarket Opera Company collaborate on a concert-style production using period instruments of Jacopo Peri’s “Euridice.” Composed in 1600 and reportedly the world’s oldest opera, it tells the story of the poet Orfeo, who descends into the Underworld to rescue his beloved wife, Euridice. The MAC welcomes Ailey II

Ailey II, the acclaimed second company of the renowned Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, returns to the McAninch Arts Center, College of DuPage, 425 Fawell Blvd., Glen Ellyn, as part of its world tour.
