Chicago man raped Ingleside teen, extorted her with nude photos: police

A Chicago man repeatedly raped an Ingleside girl and threatened to release nude photos of her if she didn’t continue submitting to him, police announced Saturday.

Montreal M. Montgomery, 22, of the 3600 block of West Sunnyside Avenue, is charged with two felony counts each of criminal sexual assault, aggravated criminal sexual abuse, aggravated battery and traveling to meet a minor, as well as one felony count of aggravated domestic battery.

The victim was 16 when she met Montgomery on social media this spring, Lake County sheriff’s Deputy Chief Chris Covelli said. She now is 17.

Montgomery drove to Lake County several times to meet and sexually assault the girl, police said.

On Sept. 1, while Montgomery and the girl were driving in Lake County, the girl pleaded with him to delete the nude photos from his phone, police said. Montgomery became enraged, pushed the girl out of the moving car in Ingleside and drove off, police said.

Someone who saw the injured girl on the side of the road called 911, Covelli said. Emergency personnel arrived and she was taken to a hospital.

Lake County sheriff’s detectives and Fox Lake police investigated the attacks.

Montgomery was arrested Friday at his home. During a court appearance Saturday, he was ordered to be held in Lake County jail until a detention hearing scheduled for Monday afternoon.

Sheriff John D. Idleburg called the crimes “despicable.” They serve “as a stark reminder of the real dangers children face on social media,” he added.
