Sixth annual Water Street Long Table Dinner for charity returns Sept. 7
The award-winning chefs of Water Street in downtown Naperville are participating in the sixth annual Long Table Dinner on Water Street, outdoors under the stars, on Sunday, Sept. 7.
The event from 5-9 p.m. will benefit West Suburban Community Pantry in Woodridge. Guests dressed in all-white attire will be treated to a six-course chef-prepared meal with a welcome cocktail as well as four additional wine pairings. As the sun goes down and lights begin to twinkle, guests will enjoy music by Pete Ellman Jazz while dining on one long table running along Water Street outside the Hotel Indigo.
“This is a unique party, with a romantic European vibe, for a great cause,” said Nick Ryan of Marquette Companies, developer of Water Street. “Our chefs have taken great care to make this evening especially memorable. Helping feed area families who have struggled with rising food costs just makes the evening even more special. We will eat well so they can eat well!”
“The pantry is currently serving 1,000 people each week and the need continues to grow,” said Pantry CEO Maeven Sipes. “In addition, we provide support services to ensure that families are receiving the additional resources they need to thrive. The contributions made by all the merchants at Water Street provide a unique event that makes a huge impact on those we serve. We are so grateful that the community is coming together to enjoy wonderful food on Water Street while helping to feed our neighbors.”
The event also features a silent auction. Individual tickets and tables of 8 are available. A vegetarian menu is also available. Seating is limited. For information and reservations, visit aesbid.com/ELP/WATER25/. Reservations may be made by Sept. 3 or until the event sells out.
The Water Street Long Table Dinner is presented by Marquette Companies. Automotive Sponsor is Gerald Cares and Libation Sponsor is Busey Bank. A limited number of additional customized sponsor opportunities are available by emailing deb@dnmcinc.com.
West Suburban Community Pantry increases access to nutritious foods through an in-person Woodridge-based market, online ordering, senior home delivery, and child programs. Last year it provided 3.9 million pounds of food. It also offers support services — case management, connecting individuals and families to community and government assistance. Every day, West Suburban Community Pantry is moving closer to a vision of a community without hunger thanks to the generous support of the community and dedicated volunteers.
