Massage Therapy Education hosts grand opening in Fox River Grove

Massage Therapy Education, an innovative new massage therapy school dedicated to training the next generation of massage professionals, has opened its doors in Fox River Grove and celebrated with a ribbon cutting on June 17.

The event was hosted by the Cary-Grove Area Chamber of Commerce and the Algonquin/Lake in the Hills Chamber of Commerce, marking a significant addition to the local health and wellness education landscape.

The school is led by a leadership team with deep roots in the massage therapy and health care fields. Julie Freeman, LMT, serves as president and director of education, bringing over four decades of experience as a massage therapist, educator, and health care consultant. Julie Bevel, LMT, is the owner and brings more than two decades of experience to a new generation of learners. Julie is also the owner of Fox River MedSpa in Algonquin. Her impressive background includes serving as Lead Therapist and Nationally Certified Educator at the prestigious 5-Diamond Bellagio Spa in Las Vegas before returning to the Chicago suburbs to fulfill her entrepreneurial vision.

At the ribbon cutting, Bevel shared her excitement. “Massage Therapy Education is more than a school — it’s a space to grow and empower. We’ve built a science-based, soul-centered program that truly prepares students for a rewarding career in massage therapy.”

Massage Therapy Education’s 600-hour diploma program meets Illinois licensing requirements and exceeds national standards. The program emphasizes hands-on learning, with robust clinical experience, expert instructors, and a supportive, nurturing environment. Students benefit from small class sizes, individualized mentorship, affordable tuition with flexible payment plans, and the opportunity to serve real clients in the Student Massage Clinic, where massages are available to the public for just $40.

The next Massage Therapy Diploma Program begins July 14, and enrollment is currently open.

Massage Therapy Education is committed to preparing students succeed in various professional settings, including spas, health clubs, clinics, or private practice.
