Garden Club of Mount Prospect, “Low Maintenance and Organic Alternatives to Lawn Grass”: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, at Mount Prospect Village Hall Farley Room, 50 S. Emerson St., Mount Prospect. Veronica Porter will discuss healthier alternatives to turf grasses, which usually use excess water, pesticides, fertilizers and mowing.
