League of Women Voters to host ‘Pink-a-Palooza Party’ Sept. 17

The League of Women Voters of Roselle-Bloomingdale Area invites you to a “Pink-a-Palooza Party” from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, at the Pollyana Brewery Co., 245 E. Main St. in Roselle.

Grab your Barbie and Ken-themed outfits and your bling and let's have a blast at “Pink-a-Palooza,” the league's fall kickoff and fundraising event.

Enjoy a fun evening with the Barbie Pink Party theme where the focus is on empowering yourself and others through social connections. The fall kickoff will build camaraderie and relationships through fun and thought-provoking activities.

Meet members and learn more about our core mission to defend democracy and empower voters. Event tickets are available at my.lwv.org/illinois/rosellebloomingdale-area/event/.

Cost is $35 for League members and $50 for nonmembers with event sponsorships available for $75. Tickets will cost $5 more at the door. Ticket prices include admission and a $15 meal voucher for the Aunt Tina's Sound Bites food truck.

This event is open to the public and attendees do not need to become League members to attend. League members are encouraged to bring friends and family. Proceeds from this event support its mission of empowering voters and defending democracy.

The League of Women Voters of Roselle-Bloomingdale Area is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization and proceeds from this event support its mission.

To empower voters in this election year, the League will host moderated candidate forums so voters in the community can hear directly from candidates. The league also will be sending “Get Out the Vote” postcards to households in the service area of Bloomingdale, Hanover Park, Itasca, Medinah, and Roselle.
