Gary UMC to start new worship service Sept. 8

Gary United Methodist Church, 224 N. Main St. in Wheaton, will offer a second service at 11:11 a.m. on Sundays, starting Sept. 8.

Worship at 11:11 a.m. is a casual atmosphere that features church musicians with familiar hymns and new songs. Nursery care is available.

The first service at 9 a.m., is more traditional in style and includes readings, prayers, a sermon, music and a children’s message.

Kids’ Church is available for preschool 3s through third grade after the children’s message. In-between the services, there’s Sunday school for all ages, a coffee fellowship hour, plus the chapel is available for prayer and reflection.

The church celebrates deep roots in the community since 1853. Gary Church has vibrant music, kids, youth and adult ministries, plus opportunities for local, national and global missions. For more information, go to garychurch.org or contact the church office at office@garychurch.org.
