Cary-Grove Area Chamber celebrates ribbon cutting for Cary-Grove Performing Arts Centre’s 25th season

The Cary-Grove Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, May 30, for the Cary-Grove Performing Arts Centre, celebrating its 25th season.

The event took place on the stage of Cary-Grove High School during the dress rehearsal for their spring show.

Since its establishment in 1999, it has been a cornerstone of arts education in the community, offering an opportunity for students to develop their skills in dance, music, and theater, all under one roof. Its goal is to educate children and adults about the arts, nurture their skills and self-esteem, and provide a fun, engaging environment that equips students with practical life skills.

Over the past 25 years, the Cary-Grove Performing Arts Centre has flourished, now boasting over 700 student registrations. Their five-studio facility spans nearly 6,000 square feet, providing classroom accommodations for aspiring artists of all ages. The dedication of the staff and the support from the community have been integral to this success.

Amy Krigas, the center’s director, shared her excitement about the milestone, saying, “This 25th season is a testament to the hard work and passion of our students, teachers, and families. Our mission has always been to create a supportive and inspiring environment where everyone can explore their artistic potential. We are thrilled to see how much we’ve grown and look forward to many more seasons of creativity and community.”
