Route 12 resurfacing begins May 20

Resurfacing Route 12 from State Park Road/East Street in Spring Grove to north of Belvidere Road (Route 120) in Volo passing through Fox Lake will begin Monday, weather permitting.

The 6.1-mile project will require intermittent daytime lane closures.

Building new ADA-compliant sidewalk ramps also is part of the $6.6 million project expected to be completed in November, according to the Illinois Department of Transportation.
