Rodenburg Road in Schaumburg, Roselle closing April 1

Rodenburg Road will be closed for reconstruction between Irving Park Road and Travis Parkway/Timberleaf Circle in Schaumburg and Roselle beginning Monday, April 1.

Drivers are asked to be prepared to follow the posted detour, which will route traffic along Irving Park Road, Roselle Road, and Central Avenue.

Work is anticipated to be completed by late fall.

A joint project between the villages of Schaumburg and Roselle, the work includes construction of a new path from Central Avenue to Irving Park Road that will connect Roselle residents with Schaumburg’s extensive system of walking and biking trails leading to Woodfield Mall, Busse Woods and the RTA’s Northwest Transportation Center.

The project also includes improvements to the storm sewer system to better drain the pavement and new lighting from Irving Park Road to the railroad tracks. For more information, visit www.rodenburgroad.com.
