M/I Homes debuts Fieldstone, new single-family home community in Huntley, Ill., with model homes opening in early 2024
M/I Homes, one of the top homebuilders in the Chicagoland area, has announced the debut of Fieldstone, a new-construction community that will bring 173 single-family homes to northwest suburban Huntley, Ill. The builder hosted a groundbreaking ceremony in late November with the Village of Huntley to celebrate the start of construction on two model homes, which will be finished for a Feb. 1 grand opening event that will also mark the official start of sales at Fieldstone.
"In the current real estate market, where pricing and competition for existing homes remains high, new-construction homes in proven areas like Huntley continue to attract tremendous interest from buyers," said Rick Champine, area president of M/I Homes. "Fieldstone not only offers future residents large home sites and the opportunity to choose the floor plan that best suits their needs, but also a great suburban location served by top-rated Huntley schools, a variety of recreational amenities, and major transportation arteries including Interstate 90 and Route 47. With work officially underway and two model homes poised to open in early 2024, we're excited to introduce Fieldstone as a terrific new residential offering in the northwest suburbs."
Located at the northwest corner of Dundee-Huntley and Haligus roads, adjacent to the Huntley Village Hall and near the Huntley Public Library, Fieldstone will offer buyers the choice of nine floor plans from M/I's popular Classic Series, including two ranch layouts and seven two-story designs. Homes measure 1,776 to 3,342 square feet and have two to four bedrooms, partial or full basements and attached two- or three-car garages. All plans feature open-concept layouts and 9-foot first-floor ceilings, and can be personalized with options such as fireplaces, morning rooms and luxury owners' baths. Home pricing will be announced in December.
Many of the upgrades available at Fieldstone will be showcased in the two model homes currently under construction: the Dunbar, a 2,500-square-foot home with three bedrooms, 2½ baths, a flex room on the main level and a loft and laundry room on the second floor; and the Hudson, a 3,100-square-foot home with four bedrooms, 2½ baths, a formal dining room, and a den on the main level.
"We invite buyers to attend our model grand opening celebration on Feb. 1 for the opportunity to see firsthand the many features these floor plans offer and the variety of choices they will have for finishes, from kitchen cabinets and countertops to bathroom tile to flooring and lighting throughout the home," said Cheryl Bonk, vice president of sales and marketing for M/I Homes.

Homes at all M/I Homes communities come standard with the builder's industry-leading 15-Year Transferable Structural Warranty, which not only allows buyers to purchase with confidence, but also adds value if the home is sold in the future. All homes are also WHOLE HOME Certified, an M/I Homes designation indicating the builder's superior approach when constructing homes. Upon testing, an M/I home will receive a more favorable HERS (Home Energy Rating System) score than an Energy Star-certified home, which can save buyers upwards of 30 percent on their energy bills. A lower HERS Index means lower energy costs, and on average an M/I home achieves a HERS rating of 62, considerably lower than other resale homes and other builders in the market.
