Friends of the Library Holiday Sale Dec. 2-3, 2023

The Friends of the Arlington Heights Memorial Library will host its Holiday Sale on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 2-3. The Holiday Sale is a specialty sale that features high quality and unique books, music and movies for adults and children.

Sale hours are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday Dec. 2 and noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday Dec. 3, in the Cardinal Room, on the first floor, of the Arlington Heights Memorial Library, 500 N. Dunton Ave., near the near the Dunton Ave. entrance.

Adult items include a wide variety of nonfiction: History, art, cookbooks, music, atlases, mysteries, home, Chicago, journals, rare/vintage and more; hardcover and oversize softcover fiction books; Stephen King classics; new/sealed DVDs and Blu-Rays; vinyl records; music CDs including boxed sets, Jimi Hendrix; and pop-up books, puzzles and games. There will also be rare first editions and autographed items, and vintage Sci-Fi magazines. A large selection of leather-bound classics from Easton Press, Folio Society, Franklin Library and other better publishers will be available for purchase.

Children's items include quality board and picture books; easy readers; novels and nonfiction, toys, games, DVDs and CDs.

Sale proceeds are given to the Arlington Heights Memorial Library for programs, exhibits, equipment and more.

Scanning is not allowed at FOL sales on any device. Please call or text outside the salesrooms. There are no discounts at the Holiday Sale.

Most items are individually priced, with children's books ranging from $1-$5, most adult books ranging from $3-$20, and more unique items ranging from $25-$100 or more. New DVDs are $3 or as priced.

The Friends accept credit cards, cash, checks, and PayPal for payment.
