Submitted by John McNabola

The Rotary Club of Park Ridge Holiday Winter Clothing Drive begins Friday, Nov. 24, from 5 to 8:30 p.m., in conjunction with the chamber's Winterfest activities. Donations of lightly used coats, winter garments and new undergarments will benefit homeless refugee families served by Saint Edward's parish housed in the Chicago Police 17th district.

The Holiday Clothing Drive will take place until Dec. 17, with drop off sites at @Properties, 741 Devon Ave., and 617 N. Washington Ave., in Park Ridge.

Gently used winter clothing, blankets, and new undergarments will be collected near Hodges Park during the Winter Festival or at 617 N. Washington Ave., Park Ridge, through Dec. 17.

"This holiday season, the needs of the homeless are greater than ever. Please be generous to others by supporting the Rotary Club's Winter Clothing Drive as we coordinate with local parishes to intervene on behalf of hundreds of refugees and other homeless this winter season," said Rotary Club of Park Ridge President John McNabola.

Founded in 1961, the Rotary Club of Park Ridge provides opportunities for residents of all ages to build a stronger local community through impactful service projects and student scholarships and leadership training for young adults plus opportunities to collaborate with 1.4 million Rotarians worldwide in regional and international humanitarian efforts.
