Vernon Township Condemns Violent Attacks on Israel
On Tuesday, October 17, the Vernon Township Board approved a resolution condemning the heinous violence against Israeli citizens by a terrorist group that have resulted in the killings of thousands of innocent people, and the kidnapping of hundreds of innocent bystanders, as of this date.
The resolution, approved unanimously by the Township Board, includes the following sentiments:
1. Condemn, unequivocally the appalling attacks by terrorists against the innocent civilians of Israel;
2. Stand in solidarity with the people of Israel and extend our condolences for the lives lost in these attacks;
3. Support the government of Israel to defend itself and actively protect the lives of their citizens;
4. Urge the world community to stand up in solidarity with this nation and demand the immediate release of hostages taken in these actions; and
5. Stand in solidarity with the people of Israel and extends our condolences for the Israeli lives lost in these attacks.
