Giving Hope: Oktoberfest on Oct. 15 will raise funds for low-income, working families
On Sunday, Oct. 15, FamilyForward will host its annual premier fundraising event, "Giving Hope."
This year's event highlights the 20th anniversary of FamilyForward (originally known as Faith Community Homes) and features an Oktoberfest theme.
Attendees will gather from noon to 2:30 p.m. at Chevy Chase Country Club, 1000 N. Milwaukee Ave., Wheeling, for an afternoon of fundraising and fun.
It will include a gourmet lunch buffet and cash bar with German beer selections, and an entertaining oompah band.
Giving Hope: Oktoberfest will be an opportunity to gather with friends while celebrating and supporting FamilyForward's work to equip and empower low-income, working families across the northwest suburbs of Chicago.
Registration for Giving Hope: Oktoberfest is $75 per person.
In addition to the delicious luncheon and German beers, participants will enjoy a variety of fun and inspirational activities including a silent auction and raffles; music by Die Musikmeisters Band; and a live appeal to raise funds for families.
One program highlight will be the opportunity to hear from a family whose lives were changed by the two-year intensive, targeted program at FamilyForward. This year's goal is to raise at least $50,000 to help client families as they continue to face struggles only aggravated by ongoing inflation and the ever-rising costs of rental housing.

Sponsorships and donations of silent-auction and raffle items are also welcome, through Sept. 22.
