Sunrise Rotary Club delivers inaugural Taste of Glenview

The Glenview Sunrise Rotary Club will present a Taste of Glenview Sept. 9, with proceeds benefiting its service projects.

The Rotary Club is partnering with Glenview Firefighters Union No. 4186 for the inaugural event, as well as the "Hero Hustle" on the morning of Sept. 10.

The event includes a selection of eateries providing "light bites." Greenwood Grill, Smetana, Wildfire, Riobamba, Siunik Armenian Grill, Valley Lodge, Thai Inbox, Joe Donut, Jibek Jolu, Plateia Mediterranean Kitchen and Culinary Gangster comprise the domestic and international options.

Space for the event was donated by Glenview Luxury Imports auto dealership at 301 Waukegan Road, Glenview.

"Sept. 9 and 10 will be exciting days for the Glenview community," said Sunrise Rotary President Dee Santucci. "We are delighted to bring people together for unforgettable experiences, promoting fitness, camaraderie, and the celebration of our local culinary treasures."

There also will be live musical entertainment.

Proceeds from Taste and Hero Hustle will go to a variety of service projects: cleanup of Waukegan Road, fish release in Lake Glenview, a coat drive and others.

Taste of Glenview will run from 6 to 9 p.m. Sept. 9. Tickets are $30, or attendees may choose to pay $50 to provide a donation to Glenview Sunrise Rotary.
