Spectacle on the shore

The 64th annual Chicago Air and Water Show flies over North Avenue Beach, 1600 N. Jean-Baptiste Pointe DuSable Lake Shore Drive, Chicago, this weekend. Reportedly the largest free event of its kind in the U.S., the show features the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds demonstration squadron and the Golden Knights, the U.S. Army's demonstration parachute team in addition to civilian stunt pilots. Mount Prospect honors live music with the 56 Music Fix, a weekend-long celebration of performances, art and food in bars, restaurants and art spaces throughout the village.
