BioDome celebrating first year with cookout July 28

BioDome is rapidly approaching its first year, and they want to celebrate this achievement with all of the people who helped them get here.

They will be hosting a cookout in front of the Libertyville store on Friday, July 28, to celebrate. There will be fresh food and drinks, and the store mascots will be out and about for the festivities.

At the BioDome, the focus is on education. Alongside the store is an educational zoo that features resident exotic animals.

"We're excited to expand our reach into the community," said Josh Zavatsky, store owner at BioDome, The Reptile Emporium. "We love to help families learn about the different animals, what makes them different, what they eat and how they live."

This store is all about introducing families to reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates and more.

"Our mission is to bring exotic animals to the area the right way," Zavatsky said. "Where the animals are our first priority, upfront and honest communications and fair and honest pricing support keepers at all levels."

As a part of their mission, BioDome offers specialty programs, field trips, Scout visits and birthday parties.
