Hanover Township Mental Health board releases FY25 funding applications

Funding applications for Fiscal Year 2025 are now available from the Hanover Township Mental Health Board. Each year the Mental Health board provides approximately $1 million in funding to agencies serving township residents in the areas of mental health, developmental disabilities, and substance abuse intervention and prevention. The FY25 funding period runs from April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025.

"Currently the board is funding 31 agencies that provide 44 programs to residents," said Kathy Biesiadecki, chairwoman of the Mental Health board. "Whether they are past recipients of annual funds or a new agency, all organizations who serve residents in the township boundaries are encouraged to apply."

Annual funding applications and guidelines are available on the Hanover Township website at www.hanover-township.org. Completed applications are due by Friday, Sept. 15. Agencies receiving funding will be notified in January 2024.

Hanover Township serves over 105,000 residents in the communities of Streamwood, Elgin, Bartlett, Hanover Park, Hoffman Estates, Schaumburg, and unincorporated Cook County.
