Schaumburg announces Septemberfest Sunday Music Acts

The village of Schaumburg is pleased to announce BoDeans and Michael Glabicki of Rusted Root with Dirk Miller as the main stage acts for Sunday, Sept. 3 at its popular three-day festival, Septemberfest. The performance will be followed with a 15-minute fireworks display. Main stage acts for Saturday, Sept. 2 and Monday, Sept. 4 will be announced in the coming weeks.

BoDeans, founded and led by original front man, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Kurt Neumann, will headline the main stage at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 3. BoDeans' music catalog consists of energetic hits such as "Good Things" and "Closer to Free," while still reflecting the soul and spirit of the modern American spirit in their newest album, "4 The Last Time." The band is included in a permanent installation at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum in Cleveland, Ohio, and has performed with other well-known bands and artists such as Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, David Bowie and U2.

Michael Glabicki of Rusted Root with Dirk Miller will open for BoDeans at 7 p.m. Stripping down to the bare essentials, the duo takes old Rusted Root favorites along with new material to perform re-envisioned versions in an up close and intimate setting. The duos improvisational performance and musical exploration will create a truly unique experience.

Woogie will kick off the evening of music at 5 p.m. playing alternative rock party hits from the 90s to today, including songs from bands such as Blink-182, Weezer, Pearl Jam and more.

Septemberfest will be held Sept. 2-4 at the Robert O. Atcher Municipal Center grounds in Schaumburg. Though all entertainment acts are free, weekend VIP tickets will be available for purchase July 17-31, at $65 per person. VIP ticketholders will be provided a chair immediately in front of the main stage, come-and-go privileges to enjoy the festival, access to a climate-controlled restroom, and VIP access to the bar at the main stage. Individual VIP tickets will become available on Tuesday, Aug. 1, for $25 per person if maximum capacity is not yet reached.
