Streamwood Park Named One of Suburbs 10 Best Playgrounds

The Streamwood Park District is excited to announce that Commissioners' Park, 81 Linda Lane, Streamwood, has been named one of Kidlist's 10 best playgrounds in the suburbs as voted on by their readers.

Once known as Aquarius Park, Commissioners' Park is a recently renovated, state-of-the-art park. Renovated in 2020, this park offers a sprawling landscape with a wide variety of amenities and recreation opportunities for people of all ages.

Commissioners' Park offers a plethora of athletic courts/fields including a basketball court, football field, futsal courts, and tennis courts. The playground features three different play structures and multiple types of swings.

Another unique feature is the Challenge Course; a ninja-warrior fitness obstacle course that challenges agility, strength, and determination. Other amenities include a gazebo, a walking/bike pathway with educational nature signage, and public restrooms.

Commissioners' Park complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Standards for Accessible Design.
