Rotary Club of Wheaton A.M. awards two scholarships

On March 29, the Rotary Club of Wheaton AM awarded two, 4-year scholarships to students from local high schools.

The recipients are Maya Bose and Lauren Nguyen.

Maya, a senior at Wheaton Warrenville South High School, will be studying data science at MIT.

Lauren, a senior at Wheaton North High School, will be studying neural engineering at the University of Illinois.

Congratulations to both students and their families.

The Rotary Club of Wheaton A.M. is all about fellowship in community service. In addition to hands-on service projects and support of the Playground & Garden for All, the club annually provides $12,000 of collegiate and vocational scholarships and $15,000 for community nonprofit organizations.

The club meets weekly at 7 a.m. Wednesdays at Cantigny Golf Clubhouse, 27W270 Mack Road in Wheaton.
