Church's women's guild kicks off Diaper Drive

The Women's Guild 35 of Our Lady of Perpetual Help recently kicked off its annual Diaper Drive, which runs through March 31.

Diaper Drive co-chairs Katie Santucci and Gretchen Conlon and their team are seeking diapers to distribute to people in need within the parish community and throughout the partner parishes of Saint Philip Neri, Our Lady of Tepeyac, St. James and Saint Sabina, Catholic Charities in Des Plaines, the Women's Center and the Maryville Crisis Nursery.

In 2022, Our Lady of Perpetual Help distributed 17,000 diapers. In 2021, COVID increased the need and the church received and distributed 34,000 diapers.

Diapers in larger sizes, for overnight use and the pullup variety are in demand. Donations may be made in collection bins on the parish center steps, 1123 Church St., Glenview. Checks can be made out to Guild 35, which will purchase the diapers, or ship diapers directly through Amazon, at bit.ly/OLPHDiaperDrive.
