Northwest Concert Band to present spring concert

Please join the Northwest Concert Band at its Spring Concert. Hear exciting and moving arrangements of movie scores and sparkling solos as well as fresh new selections for concert band. Randy Steinberg and Greg Mullen will conduct.

This concert will be at the John G. Conyers Learning Academy, 2800 West Central Road, Rolling Meadows. Admission is $7, with children 18 and younger free. Visit the band's website, www.northwestconcertband.org, for more information or to view previous concerts.

The Northwest Concert Band traces its roots to one of the oldest community concert bands in Chicago's Northwest suburbs. Having begun in Mount Prospect over 40 years ago by the late Ralph Wilder, it is now known as the Northwest Concert Band with Randy Steinberg as conductor. For more than 40 years, the band of more than 60 performers has delighted audiences year round. Join for the band's annual fall and spring concerts as well as the busy summer and winter holiday concerts.

Musicians of all ages who play a band instrument are encouraged to join. There is no audition, but members are asked to attend weekly rehearsals, which are on Monday evenings at 7:30 p.m., at St. Colette Parish Hall, 3902 Meadow Drive in Rolling Meadows.
