Local Dancers Heads to Ireland for the Dance Competition

Local dancer Sheila Tucker (Libertyville) from the McNulty School of Irish dance heads to Ireland this coming week to compete in the elite All Ireland Dance Championships.

The event runs from Feb 12th thru the 18th and will be host to 1000's of dancers from thoughout the world.

Sheila is a Sr at Libertyville High School and trains 3-5 days per week, both at the McNulty Studio in Crystal Lake and Arlington Heights and at home daily when not in class. When not dancing Sheila can be found either on the street running Cross County or in the gym with her Track and Field Team. In the fall Sheila will enter college to study nursing

Founded in 1971 in Naperville by Barbara McNulty T.C.R.G., and having opened in the north suburbs over 40 yrs ago, the McNulty School has grown to become one of the most active schools in the Midwest, with satellite classes across Chicagoland area as well as classes in Lake Geneva , Wisconsin and Dubuque, Iowa.

The McNulty School of Irish Dance seeks to preserve the rich traditions of Irish music and dance and to pass them down to future generations.
