Chicago Northwest Family Day at the Chicago Auto Show Feb 20

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. -- FEB. 6, 2023 - Chicago Northwest Family Day at the Chicago Auto Show 2023 will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, February 20, with children's activities sponsored by some of Chicago-area's most popular attractions - all for free. The daylong event at McCormick Place is presented by Meet Chicago Northwest (MCNW) and will give attendees the chance to experience some of the many fun and adventurous activities in Chicago's own backyard, while exploring the largest auto show in North America.

The Chicago Auto Show's Family Day is a popular tradition that draws in attendees from the projected 35,000 guests attending the show's final day. Activities at Chicago Northwest Family Day this year are sponsored by Topgolf, Game Show Gurus, Beyond Gaming, the Schaumburg Boomers baseball team, Trickster Cultural Center, the Schaumburg Park District, Opera in Focus, Forest Preserves of Cook County, My Party Princess and more.

In addition, MCNW is partnering with member community Elk Grove Village to showcase the "Makers Wanted" No. 6 Ford Mustang, which NASCAR Cup Series Champion Brad Keselowski will drive in the NASCAR Chicago Street Race this summer. The Village-sponsored race car will be on the Family Day floor for photo opportunities throughout the event. The "Makers Wanted" race car markets the six square-mile Elk Grove Village Business Park - the largest industrial park in North America.

It is free to attend Chicago Northwest's Family Day, located just before the main gates of the Chicago Auto Show at McCormick Place's North Building. Tickets are required to enter the Chicago Auto Show and can be purchased at ChicagoAutoShow.com. Enter from Parking Lot B or C. Parking fees will apply.

"There are so many exciting venues and attractions in the Chicago Northwest region, and we're thrilled to have the Chicago Auto Show platform to promote them," says MCNW president Heather Larson, CMP. "Families will find a great variety of free, fun activities to take part in on Monday, Feb. 20 at McCormick Place."
