Hey Nonny Prepares for Mardi Gras Festivities

Hey Nonny in downtown Arlington Heights is getting in the New Orleans spirit as they prepare for Mardi Gras festivities on Tuesday, Feb. 21. The venue will be hosting a free New Orleans-style jazz concert and Chef Noe Sanchez will be whipping up traditional New Orleans fare for diners.

"We plan to celebrate Fat Tuesday in style with a roaring party," said Hey Nonny co-owner Chip Brooks. "Between the live jazz music and traditional New Orleans specialties, guests will feel like they're celebrating in 'The Big Easy.'"

Starting on Friday, Feb. 17, and running through Tuesday, Feb. 21, Chef Noe will be cooking up New Orleans specials, including a shrimp po' boy, gumbo, and his classic beignets for dessert.

Thanks to event sponsor First Presbyterian Church of Arlington Heights, diners can enjoy three hours of live jazz music performed by Bruce Blanck and Friends. The show kicks off at 6:30 p.m., and will party on until 9:30 p.m. Reservations are required for Mardi Gras, and timing limitations may be in effect to make sure that everyone can enjoy the event.

Blanck, a Chicago jazz stalwart has been delighting audiences for decades with his vast knowledge of jazz music and swinging style. During this free Mardi Gras concert, Bruce will be joined by an array of musicians to play traditional jazz tunes for Hey Nonny patrons.
