Want to improve business writing skills? Suburban libraries can help

Several suburban library districts are teaming to host a free workshop on effective business writing.

The program, "Improve Your Business Writing," will be held online Saturday. Led by College of Lake County career coach Michael Sugarman, it'll run from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Zoom.

It's open to anyone. Library cards aren't needed.

To get the Zoom link, register at careercollab.org.

The workshop is the latest offering from the Lake Cook Career Collaborative, a partnership designed to give people career development resources.

The Wheeling-based Indian Trails Public Library District, the Lincolnshire-based Vernon Area Public Library District, the Glenview Public Library and the Northbrook Public Library are among the member facilities.

Future programs will address time management and using the LinkedIn employment service.
