Night Writers Workshop to host afternoon reading Oct. 15 in Geneva

Members of Night Writers Workshop, a group sponsored by the Geneva Public Library, will hold a reading on Saturday, Oct. 15.

Several writers have published books that will be available for purchase and, if desired, will be personally inscribed.

The readings will consist of short selections from members' works.

Bonnie Baumgartner's "Mother Moon" is a beautifully illustrated children's story that celebrates the special bond between mothers and daughters.

Group facilitator Dr. Richard Holinger will read poems from his published collection, "North of Crivitz."

Diane Lincoln's "Science Discovery" tells an unexpected story of a far-fetched hypothesis that turned out to be reasonable after all.

"Tales Told Out of School," Ellen Jo Ljung's teaching memoir, celebrates what she learned from her students, their parents, and colleagues.

Kate Twohig will read from "A Holiday for A King," the story of establishing Martin Luther King Day.

Poets John D'Andrea and Samira Didos will read new and selected poems.

Refreshments will be available.

Writers interested in learning more about Night Writers Workshop should contact the Geneva Public Library.

It will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. in the meeting room of the library, 227 S. Seventh St.
